Asha Rani K

Vice President

My passion for volunteering stems from the immense satisfaction I derive from helping others. I was inspired to pursue this path by two of my best friends, who supported me in my studies, and by my grandmother Sharadha, who dedicated 25 years of her life to working at the Asha Kirana orphanage in Davangere. Her selfless service showed me the transformative power of volunteering and the profound impact it can have on people's lives.

I firmly believe that volunteers are driven not by the availability of time, but by the generosity of their hearts. As the saying goes, "You make a living by what you get, but you make a life by what you give." Volunteers embody the very best of our society - compassion, selflessness, patience, and love for one another.

In my view, "Helping hands are better than praying lips." This means that taking concrete action to help others is more important than simply praying for their well-being. My grandmother's stories about the children she helped at the orphanage have been a constant source of inspiration for me. They have shown me the incredible power of volunteering and the difference it can make in people's lives.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to volunteer and to make a positive impact on the world. For me, volunteering is a gift, and I am committed to using my time and talents to help others in need.
