Sustainable Development Goals


Gather Life for Paraplegics is a non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities. Their work fits with several of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals are a call to action to end poverty, protect the planet, and make sure all people have peace and prosperity by 2030. Some of the SDGs that the trust’s work fits with include:

  • SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being: The trust provides access to good healthcare, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. They also have support groups and resources to help people with disabilities take care of their health.

  • SDG 4: Quality Education: The trust gives scholarships and financial help to pay for education. They also offer tutoring and support to help people with disabilities do well in school.

  • SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth: The trust provides job training and helps people with disabilities find and keep jobs. They also offer training to help people with disabilities start their own businesses.

  • SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities: The trust works to create a society that is more inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities. They believe that everyone should have the chance to reach their full potential.
